Bio

Tony Quinn is a native of South Carolina and he was born into a musical family. He started singing with his parents at public appearances at about age 7. A year later, at age 8, Tony started playing guitar and bass and within a few years was performing regularly with the family band. By age 14 he began playing 4 nights a week as a bassist with the family act in Germany working in military clubs, private events, and rodeos. Later he moved on to playing guitar and 5 string banjo.

Tony moved to the San Francisco Bay area in 1978 and started playing with local bands, subbing in clubs while taking music classes at Chabot college to learn piano and music theory. In 1984 he moved to the Los Angeles area and co-found Zur Gabriel, a Christian rock/metal band. With Zur Gabriel, Tony played events and concerts, dabbling in home recording  and songwriting. Tony eventually ended up at the L.A. Recording workshop obtaining a audio engineering degree. In 1989, he opened The Edge Recording studio.

. The 90's found Tony working with a plethora of artists such as Albert Lee, Lacy j Dalton, Jo Dee Messina, All for One, REO Speedwagon, Mercy River, The Drifters, Greg Bissonette, Tre Belfore, Joey Melotti, Joe Turano, Scott Kaye and producer Mike Flicker. During this time Tony began to play with several Southern California Bands, The Corporate Band Sequel, The Reputations, Loose Boot, Tyler Kaye DeVere and Innocent Heart.

The studio environment gave Tony room to stretch musically; producing projects for The Jetshawks (minor league Baseball team), commercials for Clear Channel Radio and recording projects for hundreds  of bands.

In 1997 Tony moved to Fresno, Ca and began subbing as a keyboardist for Coleman Head and Driver. Later, he co-founded The Reps (Mark 2) and opened AR Studio's with musician and producer Ray Haney. At AR Studios, Ray and Tony worked with clients such as Bruce Conti (Tower of Power), Larry Gittens (Kool and the Gang) and Terry Kristofferson (Buck Owens).

Around this time Tony started working as a guitarist with Chris Curtice & The Wild Horses. He co-wrote the title cut on Curtice's debut CD, "Forever bound by the Heart", and subsequently co-produced, engineered and wrote for Curtice's 2nd, and 3rd CD releases, What's One More heartache & The Shield. Also during this time Ray and Tony were working California fairs and corporate events as a duo (Almost Live). With the Chris Curtice Band Tony opened for Blackhawk, Lee Greenwood, John Barry, Sara Evans, Lorrie Morgan and 3 sitting California governors, Gray Davis, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jerry Brown.

In 2006 Tony moved to Northern California and worked with a Dixieland Swing Band (The Washboard Wizards) at fairs, festivals and traveled to Budapest, Hungary, Vienna, Austria and Germany. In 2009 Tony co-founded The Rock Bottom Boys bluegrass band playing fairs and festivals on the west coast. RBB released two CDs during his tenure with the band. Currently Tony works mostly as a soloist, but occasionally plays with The Almost Live Duo and his Blues Band. Tony has released two CD's
